About me
Welcome to Zest of Lila
Hello, I am Lila Yang, a Hmong American Culinary Student. This is my journey into the culinary arts.
As a child, I have always loved food and was never a picky eater. My culinary arts journey started way before I even knew it started. My parents and grandparents had shown their love to their kids through the labor of love: cooking. Which ignited my own passion for cooking and baking. It started as a kid. I would watch and participate in my parents and grandparents' cooking and baking. I baked cupcakes, cookies, attempted cakes, tiramisu, and my all-time fall favorite, Cinnamon Rolls. I cooked a variety of meals as well during my upbringing.
From a young age, my dad taught me how to cook my own eggs and, from then on, my parents taught me to make more delicious foods as I grew. That was the start of my culinary journey.
So, I'd like to welcome you to Zest of Lila. I hope to share many recipes I've learned on this journey.
